Kutaisi is a city in western Georgia. Situated 221 Km west of Tbilisi, on the Rioni River, it is the capital of the western region of Imereti. In Kutaisi, you will see old cathedrals and caves, most visited place is Bagrati cathedral, the greatest architectural monument which was constructed in the 10th-11th century. Today Bagrati Cathedral is on the list of the world-significant historical and cultural monuments of UNESCO.
- Gelati Monastery like Bagrati cathedral is under UNESCO protection as an object of cultural and historical heritage, located 11 km from the city of Kutaisi.
- Prometheus Cave is only 22km far from Kutaisi and offers amazing walking tours for visitors. There are 22 halls found but only 6 halls are open for tourists.
- Okatse Canyon is one of the great places to relax and hike in nature, Visitors can enjoy with first hanging trail and panoramic view. it is a long walk through the bridge, but the view is breathtaking and memorable.
- Martvili Canyon is one of the most visited places which you as a visitor don’t want to miss. The canyon is 2,400 meters long, 5 to 7 meters wide, and 50 to 70 meters deep. there are 2 bridges, 3 platform views, and 30 steps stair. Tourists can enjoy a 300-meter boat tour on the river.
